Nice deserves more than a walk along the seafront. The old town, the flower market on Cours Saleya and the Castle Hill give quite another idea of the city.
Twenty minutes above begins a different landscape: Saint-Jeannet, Vence, the Chapel of the Rosary decorated by Matisse, and the Maeght Foundation at Saint-Paul. It is the favourite programme of guests returning to the Riviera a second time.

The Matisse Chapel closes on Sundays, Mondays and for the whole of November. Check before building the day around it — we do that for you when you book.
